EVENT COORDINATOR

The VCU Event Coordinator has a friendly and driven personality and sets high goals for him or herself. As part of the Venue CU Team, the VCU Event Coordinator will help behind the scenes and at events in any way possible to make it a positive experience for the client. Leadership skills, organization, self-motivation and an outgoing, kind personality will be needed to fulfill this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Plan Event Details with Client

  • Supervise Day-Of Event Preparation

  • Ability to Lead + Manage Staff

  • Coordinate Logistics for Event Setup + Teardown

  • Availability for a minimum of two 12 hour shifts per month (including Fridays + Saturdays)

  • Confidence to execute the timeline and logistics during events

SERVICE STAFF

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Availability for a minimum of 3 shifts per month

  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs + stand for 8+ hours

  • Flexible schedule with availability on Fridays + Saturdays                                 

  • Shifts typically range from 4:00pm - 1:00am

  • VCU service staff must be personable and welcoming in their interactions

  • Must have reliable transportation

BARTENDER

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must complete online training

  • Availability for a minimum of 3 shifts per month

  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs + stand for 8+ hours

  • Flexible schedule - availability on Fridays + Saturdays                           

  • Shifts typically range from 4:00pm - 1:00am

  • VCU bartenders must be personable and welcoming in their interactions

  • Comfortable working in occasional fast paced situations  

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • Confidence to enforce VCU policies

CLOSING MANAGER

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to Lead + Manage Staff

  • Coordinate Logistics for Event Teardown + Cleanup

  • Availability for a minimum of 3 shifts per month (including Fridays + Saturdays)

  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs

  • Confidence to communicate with VCU clients

DISHWASHER

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Availability for a minimum of 3 shifts per month

  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs + stand for 8+ hours

  • Flexible schedule with availability on Fridays + Saturdays                                 

  • Shifts typically range from 9:00pm - 1:00am

  • VCU service staff must be personable and welcoming in their interactions

  • Must have reliable transportation
